At the Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine in London, attention will be focused on three main aspects: rapid recovery, the attraction of private investment, and interregional cooperation, noted Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“Our goal is to mobilize as much international support as possible and establish mechanisms by which this aid will arrive in a timely and rhythmic manner,” the head of government added.
According to the World Bank’s estimate, Ukraine needs $14.1B for a “quick recovery” this year. However, after the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP, these numbers will increase.
During the conference in London, Ukraine expects to sign several important agreements, memoranda, and declarations that will accelerate reconstruction and development. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine says that Western partners will announce specific financial contributions to Ukraine’s restoration during the London conference.
