Wages in Ukraine increased by 12% over the last year.

Real wages in Ukraine increased by 11.9% in December compared to December 2021, reported ukrstat.gov. The most significant increase was recorded in agriculture and the hotel and restaurant industry. The wage growth from November 2020 to December of 2021 was 21.5%. The average salary of a full-time employee in December 2021 was UAH 17,453 ($612), which is 2.7 times higher than the minimum wage level, UAH 6,500 ($228). Across all industries, wages grew the most in agriculture, by 48%, with hotel and restaurant salaries showing a 42% during the year.
