Rikard Jozwiak, a journalist from the Brussels Bureau of Radio Liberty, reported that the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, may come to Ukraine on a working visit in early November. In his opinion, a trip so close to the publication date of the enlargement report (November 8) means good news for Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, suggested that Members of Parliament from Ukraine and Moldova could join the European Parliament as observers while these two countries await formal EU accession. Observer deputies from Ukraine will not have the right to vote and will be appointed, not elected. They will have seats in the institution, which will, in any case, grow from 705 to 720 members after the European elections in June 2024.
