The contender to replace Razumkov is Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Oleksandr Kornienko, chairman of the Servant of the People party, is running for the position of the first vice-speaker. Relations between Zelenskyy and Razumkov have been strained recently, over a bill aimed to restrict the power of oligarchs that the President has promoted, and the speaker opposed. Earlier this month, Zelenskyy accused Razumkov of pursuing a political agenda of his own. Zelenskyy’s party has retained a strong control of the parliament and Razumkov’s political maneuvering has backfired against him.
