UZ transported a record volume of cargo.

 In January 2022, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) transported 26.1 million tons of freight, and the cargo turnover for the reporting period amounted to 15.8 billion t-km. These figures are a record for the last four years, reported UZ. Furthermore, the rate of freight traffic in January 2022 is 18.2% more than in January 2021, and 9.2% more than in January 2020. In addition, another record figure for the last five years was the January average daily load of cargo, which amounted to 694 thousand tons. This figure is 15% more than in January 2021 and 5% more than in January 2020.
