USA to support defense reform in Ukraine until the country reaches NATO membership criteria

Speaking during a recent visit to Kyiv, the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, said that NATO allies pledged support for Ukraine in its intentions to become a full member of NATO. Austin said that the US is strengthening its presence in the Black Sea region with its other regional partners to counter Russia’s destabilizing actions.
