US Congressional leaders have increased aid amount to $13.6B.

The leaders of the US Congress have reached a bipartisan agreement to provide $13.6B in assistance to Ukraine and its European allies. Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden sent a request to Congress to allocate $10B as a package to respond to Russian aggression. This included, among other things, humanitarian and military support for Ukraine, strengthening NATO allies on the eastern flank, strengthening intelligence cybersecurity measures, replenishing stockpiles of weapons already sent by the Pentagon to support Ukraine, and more. However, on Monday, leading lawmakers in the US Congress said the package could increase to $12B. As a result, support from Democrats and Republicans was so strong that in a few days, the figure rose to $13.6B, reported CBS news.
