Ursula von der Leyen calls on the world to provide Ukraine with all necessary assistance to rebuild their country.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, praised the moral and physical courage of the Ukrainian people in the face of the Russian invasion. She said that Ukraine has impressed the world over the past year and inspired Europe. She also assured Ukraine of further European support. Von der Leyen emphasized that knowledge and money are both needed to move forward with the relief and reconstruction process. “Therefore, I appeal to you because we need your help. Ukraine deserves to have as much support as possible. And we need not only public sector investments, but also private investments and your knowledge,” the head of the EC emphasized.
