The state-owned company Ukrgazvydobuvannya regained control over the drilling rigs in territories that had been occupied for about seven months. The company emphasized that most of them have already resumed operations in the east of Ukraine after repairs. Drilling sites were also damaged by the occupiers’ looting – some equipment was stolen or destroyed. The company’s specialists work to restore drilling rigs and related equipment after demining the surrounding areas and obtaining permits from the State Emergency Service. The plans are to return all the machines to work as soon as possible, as drilling new wells has the most significant and lasting effect on providing the country with its own gas.
