In 2021, State-owned gas producer Ukrgazvydobuvannya increased gas production from old wells by 67 M cubic meters due to capillary systems. Due to new technology, the company increased gas production in aging wells and reduced technological losses. According to the company, the average period for installing a capillary system in a well is up to one year or even less. For example, with capillary systems, the daily flow rate in the wells of the Bytkiv-Babchynsky field in the Ivano-Frankivsk region increased by more than 40% or 70,000 cubic meters of gas.
