Ukrainians continue to deposit more money into their savings; in the first half of the year, deposits increased by ₴60.2B.

According to the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals, as of July 1, 2024, the total amount of deposits of individuals and entrepreneurs in Ukrainian banks reached ₴1,295T, which is ₴28.9B more than a month earlier. In the first half of 2024, deposits increased by ₴60.2B, of which ₴30.7B is real growth (without considering changes in the exchange rate).

At the beginning of July 2024, the structure of deposits was as follows: deposits in national currency – ₴840.4B (+₴25.8B per month); deposits in foreign currency – ₴454.6B (+₴3.1B). In total, 64.9% of deposits are in national currency and 35.1% in foreign currency (at the beginning of the year, it was 64.5% and 35.5%, respectively).

At the same time, the share of individual entrepreneurs in the total amount of deposits as of July 1 was 3.3%, and these deposits totaled ₴143.1B, 11% of the total deposited amount.
