At the same time, medium-sized enterprises managed to continue their work and have not stopped their operations completely. In general, Ukrainian businesses lost 32% of their turnover in 2022 compared to 2021, said Andriy Dligach, co-founder of the Center for Economic Recovery.
As he noted, the study’s results showed that last year almost 10% of businesses stopped operating altogether, and more than 20% of enterprises were almost totally inactive.
In the east, 38% of enterprises have entirely stopped, and another 26% have almost stopped working. However, the situation is better in the west.
Dligach identified the biggest problems for businesses as insufficient customer solvency in the domestic market, situational unpredictability, the unpredictability of the state’s actions, and the lack of sufficient capital.
