Currently, more than three million Ukrainians live in Poland. According to the deputy head of the President’s Office, Ihor Zhovkva, Ukrainians work legally and make a significant contribution to the country’s economy – from 0.5 to 2% of GDP growth was generated by Ukrainians.
Also, as the official specified, Ukrainians are owners, co-owners, and shareholders of more than 29,000 Polish companies – more than 25% of all companies with foreign capital in Poland.
“This, in particular, is part of the integration of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people into the European Union. After all, the EU is not only about political support but also the unification of peoples. And in this way, without mixing politics and economics, we must move forward,” emphasized the deputy head of the Office of the Head of State.
