According to the results for the first 23 days of August, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 1,016,000 tons of grain through the export connection, which already exceeds the previous month’s figure of 917,000 tons, writes Rail.Insider. According to the company’s manager, Valery Tkachev, positive dynamics are observed, primarily due to the grain corridor. According to the UZ, 549,000 tons were sent through land border crossings, and 467,000 tons were sent to seaports. In comparison, March’s volumes amounted to 416,000 tons. Thus, according to Tkachev, in August the railway will set a record for agricultural product export transportation since the beginning of martial law.
