In March, the company exported 5.3 million tons of freight (+73.4%) compared to last year’s period and a 4% increase from February, said UZ top manager Valery Tkachov.
In March, UZ reached record high export rates of cement – 80,000 tons (+51% compared to February), oil 133,000 tons (+7.3%), and ferrous metals – 357,000 tons (+11, 1%).
Against the background of growth in all directions, only grain transportation for export decreased: in March, it fell by 14.4% (a decrease of 418,000 tons) compared to February. In the direction of western crossings, exports increased by 45,000 tons to 917,000 tons, but in the direction of ports, they decreased by 334,000 tons to 1.59 million tons.
Tkachov also reported that in April, the volume of grain continued to decline and had already fallen to 78,000 tons due to a glut of agricultural products.
