According to 2024’s results, housing construction in Ukraine rose by 21.1% compared to 2023, reaching 9.759 million square meters, according to the State Statistics Service. Meanwhile, 51% of total housing volume is single-family houses, and 49% multi-family residences.
The greatest amount of housing was constructed in the Kyiv region, totaling 1.946 million square meters (19.9% of the total) and representing a 17.9% increase compared to 2023. In the capital city itself, 1.412 million square meters of housing (14.5%) were completed last year, marking a 36.1% rise from the previous year. 2024’s largest growth in housing construction was observed in the Donetsk region, where the figure soared by 450% over the previous year, reaching 26,900 square meters (0.3% of the total).
In total, 118,400 apartments were completed last year, with 30.1% located in single-family houses and 69.9% in multi-family units. Kyiv and the surrounding region led in the number of apartments, with 22,000 and 21,100 apartments, respectively.
