According to the Ukraine Federation of Employers, this would allow the restoration of more than 500,000 jobs and provide UAH 135B in annual tax revenue.
In addition, the restoration of the ports’ entire operation will reduce logistics costs and restore coal imports by sea for the stable passage of the 2023-2024 heating season.
The experts emphasized that Ukraine’s partners will also benefit from the unblocking of the ports because the economy’s recovery will allow Ukraine to increase domestic financing of military expenses.
As well, the global market will benefit from an increase in the export of goods which will also provide high added value for Ukraine. In addition, the restoration of jobs will lift the economic pressure in the countries that receive Ukrainian refugees.
