The Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna, noted that statistical data supports this.
“Even in times of full-scale war, mass destruction of infrastructure, and logistics disruption, Ukraine follows trade rules. We expect the same from neighboring countries. Any unilateral measures are a circumvention of EU legislation,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Stefanishyna emphasized that, based on the results of consultations with Ukrainian agricultural businesses, it can be stated that the five EU countries that favor the continuation of restrictive measures are not a priority market for Ukrainian agricultural exports.
Stefanishyna continued, “Our farmers are counting on the development and increase of transit opportunities through the territory of neighboring EU member states since the main consumers of our products are far beyond the borders of these five EU states. All factors that could pose a risk for Poland or any other country of the EU have been eliminated.”
