The Ukrainian Parliament adopted a decision on Ukraine’s accession to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). This will give Ukrainian agricultural producers access to new financial resources and innovative technologies and expand their opportunities on the international market, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy noted.

Joining IFAD will provide Ukrainian farmers with access to low-interest loans and grants for research and implementation of innovative technologies. This will help support agricultural production, introduce modern farming methods, and strengthen Ukraine’s competitive position on the international market.

In addition, farmers will have access to the fund’s database, which compiles the latest intellectual and technical developments in international agro-industry. This opens up new opportunities for participation in IFAD tenders for the supply of goods and services and will also contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s international image as one of the leading producers and exporters of agricultural products.
