Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy has presented the Energy Security Concept.

У травні Україна майже на 500% наростила імпорт електроенергії.

As reported by the ministry, it is necessary to ban politically motivated exploitation of energy resources at the global level. To accomplish this, it is essential to develop documents within the framework of international law, update the statutes of international organizations, strengthen the powers of the International Energy Agency (IEA), and diversify the sources of energy imports. Ukraine should focus on the following:

  1. Creating a protective “shield” for energy facilities through air defense systems;
  2. Supply and stockpile equipment in Europe to restore energy infrastructure;
  3. International supervision and mutual protection of energy facilities and safety zones around nuclear facilities;
  4. Investing in decentralized energy systems;
  5. study alternative ways of supplying fossil fuels;
  6. Expansion of connection capacities to facilitate the exchange of electricity.

It is noted that implementing these complex measures will contribute to increasing the reliability of energy supplies, strengthening the energy infrastructure’s stability, diversification of energy trade and sources, and foster global cooperation to prevent energy manipulation by the Russian Federation.
