Director of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense, Maryna Bezrukova, believes that Ukrainian companies should be able to export a portion of the weapons they produce. She confirmed that many manufacturers have not received orders from the state due to a limited budget.
“The companies have produced or can produce the product, and they have the people and the capacity. And in this case, it is a pity that the companies cannot export. On the other hand, exporting from a country at war looks very strange. But if we supported a certain share export, we would thus enable our manufacturers to earn here instead of moving production to other countries,” Bezrukova said, adding that companies are openly discussing their intentions to move production abroad. Ukraine has been a serious arms exporter, so it should continue doing so.
President Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian enterprise where Bohdana self-propelled guns are assembled holds the European record for the number of units produced monthly.
