Exports from Ukraine in the first half of 2022 fell by nearly a quarter and amounted to only 76% of last year’s volume – $22.7B. At the same time, imports also decreased, but by less, according to the State Statistics Service. Thus, from January to June 2022, the export of goods amounted to $22.73B, or 76% compared to the same period last year. Imports during this period amounted to $25.2B, or 80.9% of the previous year’s figure. Thus, the foreign trade deficit for January to June amounted to $2.467B, doubling the same figure in 2021, when it amounted to $1.226B. The export-import coverage ratio was 0.90, and in the first half of 2021 it was 0.96. Foreign trade was conducted with partners from 221 countries of the world.
