Ukraine’s broad gauge tracks have been extended to a new intermodal terminal under construction in Fényeslitke, Hungary

, 25 km south of Chop, Ukraine’s Zakarpattia border town. Billed as the largest truck-train terminal in Europe, Hungary’s €61 million East-West Gate will have several sets of parallel Euro gauge and broad gauge tracks. Lifts will straddle the tracks shuttling containers from one train to another. For trucks, Hungary is improving highway access from Budapest.
