said the Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Czeslaw Siekierski. “Ukrainian authorities will soon start negotiations on joining the EU. This process will force the EU to reform the Unified Agricultural Policy and the system of agricultural subsidies,” he said.

At the same time, Siekierski emphasized that the inclusion of Ukrainian agricultural products into the EU market, on the one hand, will strengthen the EU’s position on the world market in the field of processing and raw materials, and on the other hand, it will lead to increased competition in the single agricultural market and transformation among EU producers and processors.

“I am convinced that the rules of Ukraine’s accession to the EU will be prepared in such a way that the stability of European agriculture will not be disturbed,” the minister emphasized.
