Slovenia will send €200,000 to assist with remediation efforts related to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP dam. In addition, Slovenia will contribute about €10.2M to the European support instrument for Ukraine in four tranches that will be disbursed in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.
The funds will be used to subsidize the interest rate on loans that the European Commission provides to Ukraine within the limits of the specified instrument. In this way, the country will support the financing of Ukraine’s needs, restoring its vital infrastructure, institutional reforms, post-war reconstruction, and preparations for EU membership.
In turn, the US is providing an additional $205M of humanitarian aid to support Ukrainians who have suffered from Russian aggression, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.
