Ukraine is already working on developing its peace plan, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Patience, support, and diplomatic pressure are the three factors for a fair end to the war. If the US and EU countries maintain unity, it will be additional pressure on Moscow that will show it has no chance,” the president said, stressing that he cannot respond to calls for a ceasefire while the Russian Federation continues to occupy Ukrainian territory.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine “will start detailed negotiations with relevant countries on territorial integrity and other issues” and will create an action plan to achieve peace by the end of November.
In July, officials in Kyiv contacted representatives of US presidential candidate Donald Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris because the US elections will significantly impact the peace process in Ukraine.
“If Trump wants to learn something about Ukraine, he can come to Ukraine and see what is happening her or ask me. We contacted his team. Trump told me he is available to answer any questions”, Zelenskyy said.
