After the war, Ukraine should not restore the old energy model but build a new, state-of-the-art one, said Minister of Energy German Galushchenko. According to him, it will be necessary to depart from the structure of the existing energy system. “Talks about reforms have been going on for a long time. We want the abandonment of fossil fuels, the modernization of thermal generation, and the implementation of everything related to the green course – the green deal.” The minister expects Ukraine to become a proving ground for the symbiosis of solutions with the best technologies available worldwide. However, due to the war, the ministry is forced to forsake far-reaching plans in favor of quick repairs that connect people to energy supplies, allowing them to receive gas and electricity.
