Ukraine suggests that the OSCE and IAEA missions be stationed at nuclear power plants.

Chernobyl

Russian invaders leave Chernobyl.

Ukraine is doing everything possible to restore the power supply to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant as soon as possible, stated the Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko. The power supply is necessary to cool the spent nuclear fuel stored there. “This is important for the security of not only Ukraine or Europe, but the whole world. The military must leave nuclear facilities. And we suggest that the relevant OSCE and IAEA missions be stationed at the stations to ensure the security of those facilities.” Galushchenko said. He noted that several power lines ensure the power supply to the Chernobyl NPP. Unfortunately, the last 750 kV line used to supply electricity to the nuclear power plant was destroyed the previous day due to shelling from the invaders.
