Ukraine’s exports of sunflower oil products increased by almost 20%.

In 2021, Ukraine exported $8557.1M worth of oil products, 19.6% more than in 2020, as reported by Ukroliyaprom. It is noted that the share of oil products as a percentage of total Ukrainian exports last year was 12.6% and as a percentage of agricultural products, 30.9%. In 2021, oil products worth $438.8M was imported to Ukraine. Thus, the foreign trade balance in oil and fat products is positive and amounts to $8115.9M. The export share of sunflower oil in total export of Ukrainian goods was 9.4%, and 23.1% of agricultural products and foodstuffs exports. The leading importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil were the EU – 32%, India – 30.5%, and China – 15.3%.
