On July 22 in Istanbul, under the auspices of the UN, Ukraine, Turkey, and Russia signed an initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from Ukrainian ports. It creates demilitarized humanitarian corridors for exporting food from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenny, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure reported. All activities in Ukrainian territorial waters will be carried out under the authority and responsibility of Ukraine. The agreement stipulates that a Joint Coordination Center will be established in Istanbul under direction from the UN with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, Turkey, the UN, and Russia. The coordination center will supervise and coordinate the implementation of agreements, registration of ships going to unblocked Ukrainian ports, approval of transit, and arrival schedules of vessels to the ports.
