The emergence of new low-cost airlines lowered the prices of air tickets, and the government seriously aimed at the revival of regional airports.” Fueling ‘a price war’ he writes, was “the reduction in ticket prices and the emergence of new airlines in the domestic market, which increased the intensity of the struggle for passengers.”
