The State Property Fund (SPFU) is preparing to open the state land rental market, the head of the department, Vitaliy Koval, said.

“We have 386,000 hectares of agricultural land, which belongs to the state and is currently transferred to the Fund. Our task is to change by-laws and legislation to make these lands available to farmers and agrarians and bring rental income from state land,” explained Koval.

He also reported that the SPFU had completed the evaluation of Kyiv’s Ukraine Hotel; the asset was valued at ₴1.039B. According to Koval, there is interest from the market, including foreign operators already requesting technical information. Most foreign companies consider this hotel to be a five-star hotel.
