After the war, Ukraine plans to modify the tax system to make it more competitive and focused on stimulating recovery. In this context, negotiations with the IMF and other international partners are ongoing, said Deputy Head of the Office of the President Rostyslav Shurma. Shurma clarified that as soon as these negotiations are concluded, reform discussion will move to the public sphere. The new tax scheme will be announced after Ukraine’s victory over the Russian aggressor. The tax system’s new model should also ensure the introduction of a tax-paying culture in Ukraine. Implementing the new tax system foresees building a new culture in which everyone pays their taxes.
