During the Polish-Ukrainian Energy Forum, Ukrainian and Polish government officials, and business representatives, worked out practical solutions to overcome the crisis in the fuel market of Ukraine, reported gov.ua. After Russia’s systematic attacks on Ukraine’s fuel infrastructure, which destroyed the Kremenchuk refinery and many large oil depots, the issue of fuel supply has been problematic but has found an operational and substantive solution. Poland can be a significant transit country for Ukraine, providing more than 200,000 tons of oil products per month, three times more than Ukraine imported in April. According to First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine has an opportunity to join the Polish resource of oil products from the US, Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA), German, Scandinavian and Baltic refineries.
