Government officials held a meeting to modernize existing checkpoints and construct new ones on the Ukraine’s western border. According to estimates from the Recovery Agency, the cargo flow can be tripled on the Romanian border.
The head of the Ukrainian government is working to improve the relevant infrastructure for cargo transportation both on the Romanian border and the borders with other western neighbors.
The improvements will increase exports to the EU, increase transportation volume and improve the quality of service when crossing the border. Another priority is also the development of ports on the Danube and ferry crossings.
