Ukraine has ambitions to become the largest arms manufacturer in Europe and can already talk about its first successes as a missile manufacturer, said Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin.
The minister stated, “We are building Ukraine’s power as a weapons manufacturer. We already have had the first successes, I cannot reveal more, but the greatest emphasis is placed on the production of missiles.” Kamyshin emphasized that the production capacity of the Ukrainian defense industry has doubled over the past month.
The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine is one of the co-founders of the Brave1 project, which supports Ukrainian defense tech development. According to Kamyshin, this project should allow manufacturers to quickly go from concept to a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The project is also aimed at attracting foreign investors.
