The relevant Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament has developed a draft law to help attract foreign investment to build a land corridor to export Ukrainian agricultural products.
“This will contribute to preserving the world’s food security independently from the circumstances surrounding the grain corridor’s unstable operation“, said the head of the Committee on Agricultural Policy, Oleksandr Haydu. The plan is to build railway elevators, multimodal automobile complexes, and grain containers.
According to Haydu, the draft law will define special mechanisms for supporting the agriculture industry during martial law, including attracting foreign investment. The document also introduces insurance against war risks for agricultural products storage or processing facilities. In addition, it creates a mechanism to support domestic machinery and equipment manufacturers such as grain trucks, trailers, and containers.
