Ukraine is launching the Danube grain route.

the Danube grain route.

The Danube grain route project is launched after Russia’s exit from the Grain Agreement, said Dmytro Moskalenko, General Director of Ukrainian Danube Shipping. In view of the prediction that the Russian Federation could disrupt the grain initiative at any moment, UDP has invested in creating its own grain transshipment infrastructure. The company also agreed with the Romanian TTS on a faster and more efficient transshipment scheme at the port of Constanta. According to Moskalenko, the Danube grain route is already starting to work. This will allow for the safe and guaranteed delivery of agricultural products from a river port immediately to a large-tonnage sea vessel. Because of the faster loading and unloading process, the average caravan turnover time will be reduced by approximately 30%. In the future, the barge caravan can make up to two trips a month.
