Today, more than 60% of Ukrainian exports go to the European Union, which is why this direction is strategic, noted Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. He noted that after the beginning of the war, Ukraine opened two new checkpoints on the Romanian border and a checkpoint on the temporary infrastructure on the Polish border.

“We are expanding and updating the access roads, the railway, and the electronic queue mechanism has been launched. The plans include joint customs and border control with the countries of the European Union,” said the head of the government.

According to Shmyhal, the second important logistics direction is the Danube cluster: the ports of Izmail, Ust-Dunaisk, and Reni. Since the war, they have tripled their cargo flow and have huge development potential.
