At the G7 ambassadors’ meeting, Ukraine called for the development of an influential organization of grain exporting countries to respond to global market challenges, as stated at the Stuttgart G7 conference by Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solsky. “Due to the blockade of Ukrainian seaports, 7 million tons of wheat, 14 million tons of corn, 3 million tons of sunflower oil, and 3 million tons of sunflower meal and other crops have not entered the world market,” Solsky said. This has already led to a record rise in world market prices. At the suggestion of Ukraine, the creation of such an organization would set limits on grain exports to stabilize prices and market predictability.
