In six months, state company Ukrgazvydobuvannya set another record for gas production with 6.9 billion cubic meters of commercial gas, which is 8.8% more than in the same period last year. According to the head of the company, Serhiy Lagno, during this time, 41 new wells were put into operation, 14 of which were high-flow wells.
“The daily throughput of one of the latter exceeds 400,000 cubic meters,” he clarified.
In total, the companies of the Naftogaz Group – Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta – produced 7.3 billion cubic meters of commercial gas during these six months. This is 8% more than the figure for the first half of last year.
As the head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, said, the company has already pumped about 10 billion cubic meters of gas into underground storage facilities.
“Therefore, we look very optimistically and constructively at implementing our plan for 13.2 billion cubic meters by November 1,” Chernyshov added and emphasized that this will be enough to generate electricity at the new 1 GW gas shunting power plant announced by President Zelensky.
