The total export of fresh blueberries from Ukraine in 2022 exceeded 2,500 tons, increasing by 50% compared to 2021. The previous record for Ukrainian blueberry export, achieved in 2019, was exceeded by 11%, reported east-fruit. According to analysts, this was achieved even without exports to Belarus, which was a primary market for Ukrainian blueberries until this year. Poland remained the traditional main importer of Ukrainian berries, which bought 1,350 thousand tons of berries, which is 220% more than last year. Other major importers are the Netherlands, the UK, and Moldova, which also dramatically increased their import volumes. It is emphasized that for the first time wholesale shipments of blueberries from Ukraine went to Spain, Germany, Georgia, and Finland this year. On the other hand, berry shipments to the UAE, Malaysia and Singapore were not possible due to logistic complications.
