Over 30 million tons of Ukrainian farm products were exported through the ports of Odesa and the Danube in almost seven months (since August 2023), which is 93% of Ukraine’s total exports, the Ministry of Infrastructure noted.
During this time, 854 ships with 26 million tons of cargo left the ports of Odesa for 42 countries, of which more than 18 million tons were products of Ukrainian farmers.
The Minister of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, stated that the volume of exports by sea has almost reached the pre-war level.
“Due to the blocked exports on the western border, we are preparing to increase agricultural exports through the Danube, bypassing the border with Poland,” Kubrakov noted.
Currently, the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyy await another 111 ships, which will export 3.3 million tons of cargo.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, since the beginning of the new marketing season, February 23, Ukraine exported 28.15 million tons of grain and legumes.
