Ukraine expects to receive the first quotas for 100 MW of electricity exports to Europe from the ENTSO-E continental network next week. Ukraine will receive the volumes and distribution scheme between neighboring system operators: Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. “We are counting on the previously announced 100 MW, and distribution between the countries is still under discussion,” said an adviser to Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko. According to him, NEC Ukrenergo has fulfilled all six technical prerequisites necessary to export Ukrainian electricity to Europe. He also clarified that some issues are still being worked out at the technical and organizational levels at the request of ENTSO-E.
