Over the weekend, 30,000 tons of humanitarian grain were sent to Yemen as part of the program with the help of the US, Spain, and France.
US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink emphasized that 65% of wheat exports under the Black Sea Grain Initiative is given to developing countries.
The Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine announced that the government will allocate €14.4M in addition to the previously announced, more than €236.5M for the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
France will also provide another €6M in addition to the €14M previously allocated.
In addition, Ukraine plans to hold the second Grain from Ukraine summit in the fall to ensure the continued operation of this humanitarian initiative, said the special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa, Maksym Subkh. In particular, according to him, it is planned to collect additional funds for this program.
