said Deputy Energy Minister of Ukraine Yaroslav Demchenkov at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2023. He emphasized that despite damage to 50% of the energy system’s generation and transport assets sustained through Russian attacks, and 75% of renewable generation currently occupied or destroyed, Ukraine is developing a strategy to restore the energy sector.
It primarily involves the introduction of advanced technologies. The recovery plan includes producing solar panels, wind turbine equipment, inverter equipment, long-term energy storage systems, and nuclear power equipment.
“This is an incentive for the development of partnerships and an opportunity for all of us to stop dependence on Russian energy resources,” summarized Demchenkov.
