Ukraine and Slovakia extended the agreement on increased gas import capacities.

The GTS Operator of Ukraine and the Slovak operator Eustream a.s. agreed on the extension of the increased guaranteed capacity of 42 million cubic meters of gas at the Budintse point until March 31, 2023, the Ukrainian company reported. It is noted that this will allow Ukrainian customers to import additional volumes of gas and non-residents to store gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities. Over the past year, the GTS Operator doubled the guaranteed capacity for importing gas from Europe to Ukraine for the first time since 2014. Thus, since February 4, the gas import capacity from Slovakia has been increased by 15 million cubic meters.
