To compensate for its shortage of US-made weapons, Ukraine is ready to purchase military equipment from the US. President Zelenskyy stated that the nation is willing to buy the next tranche of military assistance from the US. However, it still awaits a reply from the White House on the prospects of the US continuing to supply Ukraine with a vital military supply lifeline. Ukraine has requested between $30B and $50B in aid from Washington, and it’s willing to pay for it – either directly to the US or as a contribution to the joint mineral deal fund, which has yet to be established, Zelenskyy told reporters on Wednesday in the capital, Kyiv. "We did not ask for the next package free of charge," Zelenskyy said. Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine is still receiving military assistance that Joe Biden approved before leaving office. He did not specify when Kyiv would receive all of the aid the previous US administration secured. At the same time, current US President Donald Trump is urging Ukraine to strike a deal to share future profits from its minerals, viewing it as compensation for the tens of billions of dollars in assistance provided to the country.

Водночас він досі очікує відповіді від Білого дому щодо перспектив продовження постачання Сполученими Штатами життєво необхідної військової допомоги Україні. Україна готова купити в Америки зброю на $30 млрд, а той на $50 млрд, і заплатити за неї – або безпосередньо США, або як внесок до спільного фонду з видобутку корисних копалин, який ще має бути створений, заявив Зеленський журналістам у середу в столиці України, Києві.
“Ми не просили наступний пакет безплатно”, – сказав Зеленський.
Він також зазначив, що Україна досі отримує військову допомогу, яку Джо Байден схвалив перед тим, як піти з посади. Він не уточнив, коли Київ отримає всю допомогу, про яку домовилася попередня адміністрація США.
Водночас чинний президент США Дональд Трамп закликає Україну укласти угоду про розподіл майбутніх прибутків від видобутку корисних копалин, розглядаючи це як компенсацію за десятки мільярдів доларів допомоги, наданої країні.
