Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this in an address to representatives from EU countries.
“We are ready to make any contribution, including facilitating a negotiation process, to establishing a just, lasting, and dignified peace in Ukraine,” Erdogan said.
He also affirmed his commitment to supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity and independence.
“We emphasize the importance of a strong diplomatic foundation, ensuring that both sides are at the negotiating table. We advocate for an immediate ceasefire and cessation of air and sea attacks as a confidence-building measure between the parties,” the Turkish President added.
Erdogan further highlighted that Ankara sees no reason to exclude Turkey from EU programs for procuring defense products and Ukraine’s reconstruction.
“For Turkey, it is essential to be included in mechanisms such as the European Peace Fund, which aims for the restoration and revitalization of Ukraine,” he said.
