 According to State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (NPP) in Energodar, Zaporizhzhya Oblast, is under the control of the Russian military. “There are two power units out of six at the Zaporizhzhya NPP that are operating. One unit is under repair, the others three are stopped. The operational staff of the Zaporizhzhya NPP is monitoring the condition of the power units to ensure their safe operation following the requirements of our operational documentation,” the statement said. Currently, the NPP’s automated radiation control system, the computerized radiation condition control system in the sanitary protection zone, and the observation zone work are all in the regular operational mode. Moreover, there are no radiation condition changes at the NPP site.
